Here’s how to use your career to see weight loss success as a woman over forty.
At Trinity, we’ve helped more than 6,000 women over forty to tone up, achieve their fitness goals, and feel amazing in their own skin. Now it’s your turn.
Many of these women were very successful in their careers, having spent years climbing the career ladder, managing large teams, and reporting to directors. Although they’d had massive success with their work, they couldn’t seem to translate that to success into their fitness goals.
If you can be successful in your career, that success can be translated to success in weight loss as well. If you can take those skills that help you succeed at work – like management, consistency, and discipline – and apply those to your fitness goals, then you’ll start seeing FAST and sustainable results in the mirror.
We’ve helped thousands of women to go from struggling to see results, to dropping two dress sizes in 12 weeks or less.
In today’s blog, we’ll reveal exactly how to translate your career success into weight loss success so you can start seeing incredible results. You can also listen to this blog on our podcast.
Evolve over time
As a successful career woman, you’ll be used to being a doer and a manager. This can be translated to your fitness life, so you can also see incredible results in your dieting efforts.
Just like you need to change what you’re doing when you’re in your career, you also need to avoid approaching your fitness with the same methods that worked when you were younger. Diets designed for 20 and 30-year-olds don’t work for women over forty, so you need to adapt. Instead, try something that works.
Consistency
In your career, you need to show up – even when you don’t always feel like it. Lots of our clients have worked hard in their career for decades – and if you take a few years out, it can set you back.
This is also true in fitness. Most people want incredible, quick fitness results, but only do a 6-week or 12-week diet. That’s the equivalent to working in a temp role and expecting a CEO salary. Instead, change your lifestyle for the long term.
Accountability
At work, you have a team and directors to report results to. This means you do the work, regardless of how you feel, even if some days you don’t feel like it.
This is the same with your diet and lifestyle. If you’re only accountable to yourself, it’s easy to give up and stop showing up when it gets hard or life gets in the way.
You need to be accountable to someone external – at least to get the ball rolling. Using a friend or a friendly fitness coach is our favourite way to start seeing results with clients.
Structure and goals
At work, you’ll have regular meetings and performance reviews to keep yourself on track. You’ll have goals to work towards, and break work down into smaller projects which you know you can achieve.
In diet and fitness, having a structured weekly programme is a game changer. Implement a check in at the end of every week, and monthly reviews, to really see success. We do this with out clients, and they see incredible results. Find out more below!
