Trinity Case Study:
How Clair Lost 3 Stone & Got An Hourglass Figure At 50
Clair Walton (50), IT Consultant
“My weight went down to 66.5kg, so over 18kg lost in 6 months and my shape had changed completely. My shoulders and arms are defined, I have a waist and an hourglass shape. Plus my cholesterol is down from 5.8 to 4.0. So a win both inside and out!”
Clair, who was juggling a demanding job and family life joined Trinity at 84.5kg – her heaviest in years. She felt uncomfortable in her clothes, unhappy in photos and frustrated that despite staying active, her weight kept increasing – especially around her stomach. However, since starting with us, she lost over 38lbs, dropping from a size 16 to a size 12. Even better, her health markers dramatically improved, with her BMI, body fat % and cholesterol all dropping back into the healthy range. Now, she feels confident wearing fitted clothes again and finally understands how to work with her body and hormones so she can maintain her results long-term.

The 3 Steps Clair Followed to Drop 2 Dress Sizes at 50...
When Clair joined Trinity, she wasn’t starting from zero. She was already rowing regularly and living a busy, full life. But like many women in their 40s and 50s, she found that what used to work simply wasn’t working anymore. We had to overhaul Clair’s nutrition, exercise and lifestyle habits to put her body in a state where she could see results.
Step 1 – Diet Overhaul
Before Clair started with us she was struggling to find the time to make healthy food, and turning to wine in the evenings to decompress after a stressful day at work. We started by removing trigger foods for two weeks to break bad habits and reset her gut microbiome to reduce cravings and menopause symptoms. Then we worked on fine tuning: increasing protein so she could recover from her workouts and rowing sessions, and dialling in her macronutrients so she felt full and satisfied whilst still losing weight every week. Her coach Laura also helped her find simple, healthy, unprocessed pre-prepared meals that Clair looked forward to and could use on long workdays where she had to eat at her desk, so nothing got in the way of her progress!
Step 2 – Strategic Workouts
Clair was already active when she joined us, rowing twice a week, but this wasn’t enough to change her body shape or build muscle around menopause. Since Clair works long hours and is often in back-to-back meetings most of the week, we kept things quick and efficient. We gave her just two 30-40 minute LIST workouts a week (low-impact strength training) – the most effective exercise around menopause – and she could do these home with minimal equipment, squeezing them into gaps in her busy work schedule. These workouts gave her the best results from the shortest amount of time, drastically changing Clair’s body composition, dropping her body fat from almost 40% to 28%, and giving her a toned, hourglass-shape figure.
Step 3 – Coaching & Accountability
Clair had the support of her coach Laura throughout her journey to help ensure everything fitted around her busy work and family life. This helped Clair go from guesswork and gaining weight to being told exactly what to adjust and seeing rapid results (and learning what worked for her body in the process). When Clair hit a plateau in week 7-8, she said her mind was really spiralling, but Laura helped her quickly identify what was blocking her weight loss (lack of fibre in this instance), and this tweak kickstarted her progress again. Laura helped Clair understand what works for her body and life now (and why), which means Clair is now 100% confident maintaining her results on her own and never needs to diet again – our aim with all our clients!

7 ½ Stone Down At Age 48
“I was originally a size 20/22 and am now wearing a size 8-10. I've lost over 7 ½ stone and gone from BMI of over 40, classed as severely obese, to a BMI of 22, well within the healthy range.
Everything has changed - not just my body but my attitude, my confidence, my energy - everything. I know these changes are not short term, they are for good. My brain feels rewired and the mindset work was the key for me.”
Size 14 -> Size 8 At Age 57
"I had got really out of control in terms of my weight, my health and my stress levels. When I joined TRINITY I was a proper size 14. I’m now a size 8 which is beyond what I wanted to achieve.
My marriage is a lot better, I’m much happier with that side of things. Work wise, we’ve had the best year profit wise that we’ve ever had and I don’t think it can be just a coincidence – the thing that’s changed is me!"
45lbs Down At Age 44
“I’ve gone from 11st 3.5 to 8 stone! I bought my first size 8 clothes and still amazed they fit. I’m now a role model to my kids. They see how much effort I put in and see and comment on how well I have done.
I never feel hungover anymore so I'm always ready for the day whatever happens and I have been able to help out with all of my family, including late night trips to hospital. I feel empowered and strong, and ready to make bigger choices, own my life and get back to being me.”
5 Stone Down At Age 52
“I know it’s a cliche, but Trinity has actually transformed my life. I’ve lost 30kg. I’ve lost 21 cm around my waist, 5cm around my arms and 12cm round my thighs.
I joined to lose weight. What I didn’t expect was for my life to change quite so much and for the better.”
42lbs Down At Age 48
“Now I’m 60-61kgs and a dress size 10. I look and feel like my pre-pregnancy self. My friends and family say I look like I did before or how I looked when they first met me in UK (2002). I have no knee pain, no feet pain.
I used to open the wardrobe and think ‘what fits’ and hated that. I now look in my wardrobe and it’s ‘what shall I wear today’!”
